Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what we don't do with it.

This policy is a working draft and requires legal review before launch. Areas needing review are noted in the project documentation.

What we collect

  • Newsletter signups: your email address and, optionally, a ZIP code you provide, used only to send fire-information and preparedness emails you consented to.
  • Contact email: whatever you include in your message, used to respond to you.
  • Analytics: if analytics are enabled, we collect aggregate usage data (page views and similar events). We do not include personal incident information in analytics events.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not use invasive cross-site trackers.
  • We do not publish private addresses or personal information in incident coverage.

Retention and your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email, and you can ask us to delete your contact information by emailing [email protected].
